This project involved the renovation of approximately 831 square feet office space. The mechanical scope included the removal of one existing VAV unit and two existing fan coil units, and the installation of a new fan coil unit serving the reconfigured layout as a single zone. The HVAC design supports short-term occupancy for research activities.
Existing plumbing risers were utilized to provide new branch piping for two new sinks and one mop sink, meeting both spatial requirements and applicable plumbing standards. Fire sprinkler piping was rerouted to support the revised layout and accommodate new sprinkler head locations.
The existing electrical panels were used to supply power to the new mechanical equipment, receptacles, cameras, and lighting. Where required, new lighting fixtures were equipped with dimmable drivers capable of 0.1% dimming and a red-lamp mode to support research operations.
