Queen of Peace Administration Building
CSEI provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for a 5,300 sq. ft. new administration building for the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. The specific HVAC scope consisted of a new high efficiency variable refrigerant volume (VRF) heat pump system as well as a dedicated outside air preconditioning unit to provide ventilation to the building while maintaining humidity control. The overall energy efficiency of the HVAC system on this building was calculated to exceed the Code-minimum efficiency by 18%. New complete lighting systems including high efficiency LED fixtures, and occupancy sensor controlswere provided for the building. Calculations demonstrate that the lighting system efficiency exceeds the Code-minimum requirements by 21%. A new power system (including occupancy sensor control of many power receptacles), data/communications, and fire alarm systems were also supplied. New sanitary waste/vent, domestic hot and cold water, and all plumbing fixtures were provided as part of CSEI’s design as coordinated with both Code requirements and the Owner’s preference. Involved with all aspects of the project while overseeing each phase of its development, CSEI was responsible for the complete design, assistance during bidding, and construction administration. They provided design coordination, made regular field visits, reviewed shop drawings, and conducted closeout coordination.
